Nordic and downhill skiers will love this visit to some of Norway’s best known winter holiday cities and resorts.

DAY 1: Depart from the SAS North American gateway of Seattle, Chicago or New York.

DAY 2— 3: Arrive Oslo and transfer by rail from airport to LILLEHAMMER ..... On arrival, transfer by taxi to the Birkebeineren mountain hotel accommodations located just above town in the middle of Olympic Park. For two nights and days you will enjoy all that this famous Olympic site has to offer. Cross-country and downhill skiing possibilities are extensive in this wonderful playground of wintry wilderness. For apres-ski activities, the Olympic Ice Hall, Folk Museum,  Lysgårdsbakkene ski jump and Maihaugen outdoor park and museum are all within a close walk of your accommodations. Explore the slopes and trails of the nearby Olympic

sites of Kvitfjell and Hafjell with local bus service.

DAY 4 — 8 GÅLÅ, PEER GYNT SKI REGION ..... Travel by train through the beautiful Norwegian landscape to Gålå, located a short distance northeast from Lillehammer. This fantastic mountain landscape offers exciting cross-country ski possibilities with a network of 630 km of interconnected tracks to suit all desires and abilities. The tracks are well-prepared for nordic and skate skiing, and many are floodlit for night skiing. There are also wilder, twig-marked tracks over the high ground with magnificent views of the Jotunheimen, Rondane and Dovrefjell mountains. The downhill ski facilities at Gålå also have slopes to suit all abilities. The entire region offers beginning to challenging terrain for all snow sports enthusiasts, whether your passion is cross-country, downhill or telemark skiing or snowboarding.

DAY 9 OSLO..... Your tour ends in Oslo, capital of Norway and an elegant town facing a shimmering waterfront and the Oslo Fjord. You’ll stay at the Gabelshus Hotel, situated very close to the city center and train station. You’ll have the afternoon upon arrival as well as most of the next day to do some sightseeing (the Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Norwegian Folk Museum are a must!), shopping and local cross-country skiing on the miles and miles of prepared tracks.

DAY 10 Today you can extend your tour or return home via SAS.
