Day 3 - 4 VOSS
..... Travel by train
through the beautiful Norwegian landscape to Voss, located in the
heart of Norway’s famous fjord country. Several World Cup ski competitions
have been held in Voss. Downhill runs are numerous and offer some
of Norway’s best vertical drop from Fjord-type vistas. There are
numerous floodlit and marked cross-country trails. Your hotel for
two nights will be the historical Fleisher’s Hotel located in the
center of Voss near the rail station
and the cable car accessing the main downhill ski region.
Day 5 - 8 GEILO ..... Continue
by afternoon train to Geilo, located at the outskirts of the Hardanger
Mountain Plateau. For four nights, you will stay at the centrally
located Dr. Holms Hotel , a mountain-style hotel rich in atmosphere
and quality. Cross-country and downhill skiing possibilities on
both sides of the valley are extensive in this wonderful playground
of wintry wilderness. For apres-ski activities, Geilo features pubs,
live music, sports and fitness centers, dog sledding, reindeer safaris
and torch-lit sleigh rides.
Day 9 OSLO.....
Arrive Oslo via train and
begin your visit to the capital of Norway, an elegant town facing
a shimmering waterfront on the Oslo Fjord. You’ll be staying at
the Gabelshus Hotel, situated very close to the city center. You’ll
have the afternoon upon arrival as well as most of the next day
to do some sightseeing (the Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Norwegian
Folk Museum are a must!), shopping and cross-country skiing on the
miles and miles of prepared tracks.
