Seefeld offers something for everyone! Nestled in the center of the Austrian Alps, it is a winter wonderland for skiers. During the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games, Seefeld hosted the cross-country ski events, and has also hosted several World Cup/Nordic events. With 262 km of groomed cross-country ski trails (152 km classic and 55 km skating tracks), this is a cross-country skiers’ paradise. Lit tracks for night skiing are also available. All free of charge. The terrain varies from easy and intermediate to difficult. The town is located at 3,960’ and the top elevation of the downhill area is at 6,900’ with 30 lifts and 32 km of groomed alpine runs. For those who want even more , Innsbruck, with 7 different downhill areas surrounding the city is only 45 minutes away! For the non-skier, Seefeld offers marked winter walking trails, ice-skating, tubing, horse and sleigh rides as well as casinos and shopping in nearby Innsbruck, home of the famous Swarovski crystal Gallery.
