Sestriere, in the environs of the "Via Lattea", is one of the most modern and well equipped ski resorts in the world, having recently hosted the Winter Olympics. It caters to all levels of skiers and winter holiday guests. Due to its high altitude, snow is good and is well supported by snow making and perfect grooming. Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana and Claviere, all connect via lifts or short bus rides as do several close areas in France. Fifteen kms of cross country skiing are available nearby.

The Hotel I Cavalieri is a first class residential hotel located in the heart of the resort. The Cavalieri's public areas host a piano bar, lounge with fireplace, meeting room, ski room, restaurant with traditional and international dishes with buffet salad and dessert bars. Most rooms have balconies, are spacious and have private bath, TV, telephone and hair dryer. The hotel is close to the chair lift "Garnel" which is connected to the lifts of the "Milky Way". A public ski bus transfer's you to the Colle del Sestriere and the other 400 km of ski piste and villages of the Piedmont. Your hotel is at the foot of the Grand Montets cable car in Argentiere, one of the best locations in the valley to maximize ski time and enjoyment. These six nights are unescorted. Local ski guides can be arranged in advance for those wishing off piste back country at its best!
