Enjoy a summer break in "Austria's most beautiful village", nestled between the Kitzbuhel and Ziller valley alps. Alpbach has a population of 2,500 and occupies a beautiful location on a sunny plateau at some 1,000m above sea level. Thanks to its homogenous architectural style and lovely floral decorations Alpach was voted "Austria's most beautiful village" in 1983. On the occasion of the Entente Florale competition Alpbach won the title "Europe's most beautiful flower village" for its outstanding floral achievements.
With over 160km of footpaths and hiking trails, Alpbachtal valley is a paradise for walkers and hikers of all ability levels: explore gently rolling hills, precipitous rock faces, lush green Alpine pastures and much more...
Hospitable mountain huts, huts on the high pastures and farmhouse restaurants treat one to traditional specialties such as "Graukase", tasty bacon and homemade bread. Alpbach's untouched nature and harmonious architecture complement each other and tradition and customs still play a very important part in the lives of the local population. Come and experience this uniqueness!
Day 1 - Innsbruck to Alpach
On your own, take the train or taxi from Innsbruck to Alpbach. Tonight you will stay at the Gasthof Der Berghof.
Day 2 - Gratlspitz (1.898 m) or Farmkehralm-Schutzensteig (A16)
Route A: Gratlspitz (1.898 m)
Set out from the center of Alpbach - past the Hotel Post - follow the street until the Bischofen Farm - turn left onto Trail A6- road to the Bischoferalm - continue on Trail A18 - Past Hauser Alm to Holzalm. Then, take Trail B28/10 to the Gratlspitz (peak). Descend along the ridge on Trail A27 to Haubergalm and Hosljoch. Take Trail A23 past the Thaler Farm and the Jausenstaion Zottahof - Back to Alpbach. Walk time: Approximately 7 hours. (moderate to difficult)

Day 3: Alpbach - Reith im Alpbachtal
Route A:
Grober Alpbachtaler Hohenweg. Walktime approx. 2.5 hours (easy)

Route B:
Weidersbergerhorn - Reither Kogel, walktime approx. 3.5 hours (moderate to easy ) Overnight in Reith in Alpbachtal, at the Pension Bischofer.
Day 4: Reith im Alpbachtal - Brixlegg - Rattenberg/Radfield
Route A:
Reith - Matzenpark - Castle path, walktime approx. 5 hours (moderate - easy)
Overnight in Radfeld, at the Pension Michaelerhof
Day 5: Radfield - Kramach
Route A:
Kramsach - Voldopper Spitze. Walktime approx. 2.5 hours (moderate)
Or
Route B:
Kramsacher Rundwanderweg (round hike). Walktime approx. 5 hours (moderate - easy). Overnight in Kramsach, at the Luchnerwirt.
Day 6: Kramsach - Brandenberg
Route A:
Tiefenbachklamm. Walking time approx. 3 hours (moderate)
Or
Route B:
Kramsach - Pletzach - Kreuseinalm - Aschau. Walking time approx. 6 hours (moderate)
Or
Sonnwendjochhaus - Zireiner See - Bayreuther Hutte -Sonnwendjochhaus
Walking time approx. 4.5 hours (Moderate to Difficult)
Overnight in Brandenberg at the Gasthof Ascherwirt.
Day 7: Brandenberg - Breitenbach,
Route A:
Blessenberg (1,743 m.). Walking time approx. 5 hours (Difficult). ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED HIKERS!
Begin at the Gasthof Kink, and follow Path No. 19 in the direction of Jocheralm and Blessenberg. Continue further to Acshajochl, and turn right onto Path No. 20 to Ruraalm. At Grub, take Path No. 3, in the direction of the center of Breitenbach.

Overnight in Breitenbach at the Gasthof Schwaiger.
