Enjoy your first two nights in Lillehammer, the Winter Olympic city of 1994. Then, travel by train through the beautiful Norwegian landscape to Gålå. This fantastic mountain landscape offers exciting cross-country ski possibilities with a network of 630 km of interconnected tracks to suit all desires and abilities. The tracks are well-prepared for nordic and skate skiing, and many are floodlit for night skiing. There are also wilder, twig-marked tracks over the high ground with magnificent views of the Jotunheimen, Rondane and Dovrefjell mountains. The downhill ski facilities at Gålå also have slopes to suit all abilities. Your last evening will be spent in Oslo, capital of Norway and an elegant town facing a shimmering waterfront and the Oslo Fjord. Stay at the Gabelshus Hotel, situated close to the city center and train station. You’ll have an afternoon and most of the next day to shop, cross-country ski on the nearby miles and miles of prepared tracks, and sightsee.
